MOUNTAIN BIKING
Roundstone Lodge is located on a 1400ha commercial citrus & game farm in the Limpopo Province.
On the farm there is an extensive network of farm tracks (+/- 45km) & custom made single track mountain biking trails. Three marked routes have been laid out on the farm, consisting of farm tracks and single track:
1) Green Route
This route is ideal to view the game on the farm and take in the beauty of the surrounding countryside. It is suitable for mountain bikers of all skill levels.

2) Blue Route
This is an intermediate route, allowing riders to take in the beauty of the surrounding countryside whilst enjoying a good cycling workout.

This is a tough route for the experienced mountain biker. It covers a wide variety of terrains from flat fast sections, to steep rocky sections.

GAME DRIVES
The game farm on which the lodge is situated is stocked with the following game:
Impala, Kudu, Wildebeest, Zebra, Red Hartebees, Bush Buck, Mountain Reedbuck, Giraffe, Blesbok, Warthogs, Bushpigs, Baboons, Vervet Monkeys & Ostriches.
Guests are welcome to self-drive within the game area (4X4 vehicles recommended) to view the game. Maps are provided to all guests, detailing the farm tracks which can be utilised. At certain times in the year additional feed is supplied to the game. Hides have been built at each of the feeding stations, to allow guests to view the game up close.
On request guided game drives can be organised in an open game viewing vehicle. These guided drives will be charged at an additional cost. Should guests wish to experience a big 5 game drive, arrangements can be made for guests to join a game drive at one of the big 5 reserves in the area. These big 5 game drives will be charged at an additional cost.
AT THE LODGE
The following activities can be undertaken at the lodge:
1) FISHING:
Roundstone Lodge has the beautiful Sterk Rivier running through the property it is located on. There are a number of dams on the farm stocked with fish. Anglers can catch Bass, Carp, Barbel and Telapia. We welcome guests to bring along their fishing tackle and take on its waters in search of a “big catch”.
2) HIKING TRAILS:
The game farm on which Roundstone Lodge is situated contains a varied number of landscapes, ranging from wetlands to rocky hills. It is well suited for the keen hiker to explore and enquiries can be made at reception for details on the popular trails on the property.
3) COMMERCIAL CITRUS FARM TOUR:
Please feel free to enquire at reception about the Commercial Citrus Farm which operates in the area. Guided tours of the orchards and pack shed can be provided to guests who are interested in getting a better understanding of this world class operation.
4) BREEDING PROGRAMMES:
Feel free to enquire at reception about our Exotic Breeding Programme for both the Golden Wildebeest as well as the Black Impala. Guided tours are available to those who would like to see these majestic creatures in the wild & learn more about them.
